If you're glad small hatchbacks got cool again, you can thank the Mazda3 Sport. This five-door version of Mazda's compact adds hatch practicality without sacrificing the sedan's entertaining driving feel. Despite the fun on offer, Mazda's SkyActiv engines are efficient and deliver smooth, refined power. Refinement is also built into the car's chassis, which makes this car feel more German than Japanese. AWD arrived as an option in 2019.
